KDO (Kids Day Off) Camp is a minicamp session for campers during the days that schools aren’t in operation. KDO camps are modified versions of Camp FUNtastic, where campers engage in various social, educational, environmental, and recreational activities. Campers must bring their own lunch and snacks.
Douglasville Police Department and Douglasville Parks and Recreation are teaming together to host a Youth Basketball Summer league at the Alice J. Hawthorne gymnasium every Tuesday starting June 7 – July 19.
Games will begin at 5 PM. Teams will be coed for ages 12-14 and 15-17. This league is free of charge.

Come celebrate 31 years of “treecycling” with Keep Douglasville Beautiful and “Bring One For The Chipper” with a drive through event on January 7, 2023 from 9am to 2pm at Home Depot, 7399 Douglas Blvd. Trees can be dropped off at the Home Depot prior to the event starting the day after Christmas.

Take a dive into the world of hand sewing. There’s more to sewing than making clothes. From threading a needle to measuring the seam allowance of a garment, you will gain knowledge used for a variety of sewing projects.
